We are now looking for a total of 3 enterprise architects for a newly formed team in Trollhättan.
The team will work with defining the digital landscape within GKN (that means, looking at all
software solutions and systems we have today, sort it and help making sense of it).
We expect this team to then help with the likely restructuring process, which means deciding what
softwares/systems to use further and which to abandon, which will come with challenges from
individual resistance to change to technical implications such as migration of historical data,
interfaces with other (customer or authority required) solutions etc.
We expect the candidates to be able to work strategically and stay focused on what the best long
term solution is while being able to build bridges with the users and stakeholders and leading
changes competently, confidently and diplomatically without losing sight of the target.
It is important that the candidates have an easy time explaining complex relationships in a way
that creates understanding and engagement.
We expect integrity, structure and flexibility as this role requires to switch between a helicopter
perspective and operational choices.
Given that the team is being formed with these 3 people (one other architect and the manager are
in place), there is a lot of opportunity to form the work. On the other hand, we need people who
are self-driven and can work in an environment with minimum given structure.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead and further develop our target architecture for operations, data, integrations,
applications and infrastructure
• Ensure that the architecture supports the strategic goals and future needs of the business
• Drive architecture governance, standards and principles across the organization
• Identify digitalization opportunities and risks in our IT environments
• Follow up and support the implementation of changes to ensure compliance with
architecture
guidelines
• Collaborate with other architects, IT, operations and external partners
Job Qualifications
Essential
• Several years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, solution architect or technical architect in larger
IT environments
• Experience in architecture management, target architecture and digital transformation in complex
organizations
• Good understanding of integration architecture, data and information architecture, cloud platforms and
modern development methods
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written
• Proactive, independent, structured and solution-oriented
• Strong collaboration skills and habit of working cross-functionally
Desirable
• Experience from larger transformation programs (e.g. ERP/PLM/MES/Cloud)
• Experience with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SAFe, etc.)
• Experience in aerospace, defense or similar industries
• Experience in implementing architecture principles and standards in modern system landscapes
Travel to other locations within Sweden as well as the EU is expected.
